Tumbling Classes

Class

Tumbling is a discipline related to gymnastics, often seen in dance, cheerleading, and gymnastic routines. It includes acrobatic techniques and movements. Our tumbling program at The Park will move students from basic skills like jumps and rolls to advanced skills like handsprings and tucks, perfect for those that want to take a recreational approach to this training and those that are looking to enhance and improve their tumbling for cheer and/or dance. These classes are led by trained coaches with diverse skills and backgrounds to meet the needs and learning styles of all. Our coaches have experience in the sport and most are competitive athletes who bring their own training and competitive experience into the gym to provide top level instruction. Classes include warm-ups, group tumbling, stations, group games, and free time.

Classes are 45 minutes in length. All youth classes are offered in 12-week sessions for $249 with two sessions a year in the fall and winter. Don't worry if we are in the middle of a session. If there is still room in the class, you can join mid-session and pay a pro-rated amount. Our curriculum is cyclical by design to maximize practice and mastery so you'll still be exposed to skills missed earlier in the session. As a small, family run business, we do not staff someone behind the desk so e-mail is encouraged when possible.

Preschool Tumbling

Our Preschool Tumbling program is our introductory program for our youngest athletes who are 3-5 years old. This program allows kids to begin to learn the basics tumbling. Classes include warm-ups, group tumbling, stations, group games, and free time. Safety, technique, and confidence are the focus in our lower age levels as well as helping them make friends and learn respectful social interaction.

Tumbling 1 (K+)

Our Tumbling 1 class is where it all begins. This class is for students at the white, red, and orange band level (see band system below). Our Tumbling 1 class introduces athletes to terms, skills, and instruction with a focus on safety and building a solid foundation for future success. Classes include warm-ups, group tumbling, stations, group games, and free time.

Tumbling 2 (K+)

Our Tumbling 2 class is for students at the yellow, green, and blue band level (see band system below). Athletes must test at this level before registering for this class. If your child is new to our facility, but you believe they are at this level, please contact us to set up a time to test at this level. The Tumbling 2 class continues athletes through the leveled skills and builds upon what was learned and mastered in Tumbling 1. Classes include warm-ups, group tumbling, stations, group games, and free time.

Leveled Band System

Our youth classes are leveled based on skill and ability so we can best instruct and meet the needs of each athlete. To earn a colored band, athletes must be able to successfully complete all items during a testing class. Testing nights are held once/session (2 times a year).
