Adaptive Ninja Classes

Class

Our adaptive ninja program is the only one of its kind in the area and to our knowledge, the only one currently running in the country. Because inclusion is a primary focus of our facility, we strive to ensure that ninja is accessible and welcoming to everyone.

At this time, our adaptive ninja classes are offered as 30-minute one on one class sessions to meet the unique needs of each athlete. We hope to offer small group classes in the future as well. Our program integrates the use of both traditional and modified ninja equipment as well as items you might expect to see in a special education classroom, occupational therapy room, or physical therapy room. We modify and adapt our obstacles and equipment with both entertainment/participation and mobility goals/progress in mind. Whenever possible, we integrate IEP and other personal goals into our classes with a forward focused approach. We evaluate current strengths & needs, discuss goals with parents/caregivers (for the gym, for school, for home, for life), and develop an individualized approach and plan. Our goal is to provide an enriching and fun experience to each athlete by providing individualized attention and modifications.

Our adaptive ninja program was developed and is run by owner, Liz Goss, a former special education teacher with experience working in both inclusive and self-contained educational settings as well as experience supporting adults with disabilities in a group home setting. She holds a BA in Education (Elementary Education & Special Education) and an MA in Literacy Specialist.
