  • What Is Ninja?

Ninja warrior combines agility, speed, strength, momentum, precision, and balance in order to navigate and overcome obstacles in various environments through jumping, swinging, climbing, balancing, and running.

Ninja warrior has been a growing sport since the introduction of the hit show American Ninja Warrior. Check it out here. Our facility participates in the World Ninja League, a competitive international league. For more information, check it out here.

  • What Is Tumbling?

Tumbling is a discipline related to gymnastics, often seen in dance, cheerleading, and gymnastic routines. It includes acrobatic techniques and movements ranging from rolls to flips.

  • What Is OCR?

OCR is an acronym for Obstacle Course Racing. An obstacle course is a series of challenging physical obstacles an individual or team must navigate, usually while being timed. Obstacle courses can include running, climbing, jumping, crawling, swimming, and balancing elements with the aim of testing speed, endurance and agility.

Popular OCR brands include Spartan and Tough Mudder, but there are many, amazing local OCRs. We collaborate annually with Muddy Buffalo, a local OCR run by local athletes with a passion for the sport. For more information about Muddy Buffalo, check it out here.

  • Where Do I Begin? What Class Is Best For Me/My Child?

All of our youth classes (except preschool ninja which is a caregiver and me class) are leveled based on skill and ability so we can best instruct and meet the needs of each athlete. To earn a colored band, athletes must be able to successfully meet testing criteria during a testing class. Testing nights are held once/session (4 times a year). All athletes registered for intermediate and advanced classes must have the appropriate color bands for that class. Visit our Ninja Warrior page for information on our youth curriculum classes.

Our teen and adult training classes are semi-structured training time designed for a mix of experience and skill levels so it doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to ninja or have been training for years. Visit our Teen & Adult page for more information on these options.

  • Should I Stay Or Should I Go? (Name the song lyric for bonus points!)

For youth classes (except preschool ninja), parents are welcome to watch from one of our viewing areas or drop and go.

During open gym, all children 10 and under require an adult in the facility during open gym times. Open gym is not a drop and go format. Accompanying adults are welcome on the floor for pictures and support, but appropriate footwear is required for safety. Trained staff will oversee general safety and assistance to athletes, but we ask parents to supervise their child’s behavior and intervene if necessary. All children aged 5 and under require an adult on the floor with them. There is no charge for the adult, but appropriate footwear is required for safety.

If viewing class, we ask that you remain in the viewing area and off the floor. Only staff and registered athletes are allowed on the floor during class times. We also ask that you wait until after class to interact with your child so there isn’t a disruption to instruction.

If dropping off, we ask that athletes arrive no more than 5 minutes early and be picked up on time. Our staff will be busy changing over from one class to another so they will not be available to supervise athletes outside of the scheduled class time.

  • What Should I Wear And Bring?

All athletes are required to wear clean, closed toe sneakers. They can lace up or Velcro. For best performance, we recommend flexible shoes that have rubber soles (not foam) and fit tightly around the ankle.

Wet or muddy sneakers will NOT be allowed on the floor. This compromises the safety and integrity of the floor and equipment for the one wearing wet or muddy sneakers and all others. Safety is our top priority.

Athletic attire is recommended. Shirts must be worn at all times in the facility. Sports bras do not constitute a shirt. Thank you for respecting that this is a family facility and we strive to have all in attendance comfortable.
